Crown Pointe
Community Church

Crown Pointe Community Church’s unique name evolved from early conceptual drawings by the architect. Due to a tight site and significantly sized program, Randall-Paulson decided to creatively stack various church functions around a three-story narthex. The connecting points and crown-like buttressses at the entry and chancel ends provided the visual imagery which inspired the name. The chancel crown highlights the full immersion baptismal pool.

Currently in the schematic design phase, this new non-denominational church will be the last phase of the ten acre development for the Dozier Family Foundation adjacent to the 58-acre Mt. Paran Christian School campus, also designed by Randall-Paulson Architects. The church’s congregation will be meeting in the recently completed Dozier Centre for the Performing Arts until this facility is completed. The stone and brick veneer exterior will express a harmonious look, compatible with the other campus buildings.

The four story facility will feature a 1,500-seat sanctuary and educational components upon completion. Other spaces designed for the church include offices, a music suite, a 300-seat chapel to be used for weddings and funerals, a hospitality area with a full service coffee shop, 500-seat Fellowship hall, kitchen, and a welcome room. The upper level contains a gymnasium and associated workout, exercise, and locker rooms on two floors. The three-story narthex relates as the ‘living room’ of the church. Connections at four levels will be made to a 300 car parking structure immediately adjacent to the church facility.
