United States Postal
Service Centerville Branch Snellville, Georgia • 27,000 sf
This initial project was completed during Randall-Paulson Architects’ first five-year open-end contract with USPS for the north Georgia area.
Using the USPS program modules, RPA developed a design that was most effective for the site. The exterior was designed so that it was suitable for the community.
This process helped RPA to develop complete construction documents using the USPS standard detail library. RPA distributed bid packages and information, responded to bidders’ comments and
questions, performed construction contract administration, reviewed submittals, conducted weekly site visits, and prepared field reports.
The building contains approximately 27,000 sf of floor space configured on a challenging L-shaped site. It features a traditional design with an entry tower as the focal point for the main entrance.
This facility includes a retail area, administrative offices, workroom, support areas, loading dock, and carrier vestibule.
