This project involves the interior renovation of space for the Office of Inspector General, Atlanta Field Office, within the existing USPS Atlanta P&DC Postal facility. The OIG field office is 10,600 sf and will house private offices, open office areas, conference rooms, tech labs, evidence storage secure rooms/cages, poligrapher studio, mailroom file storage, breakroom, and support spaces. The remaining 7,400 sf is for the P&DC staff occupying the OIG space and includes administrative space, executive offices, computer training room, interview room, and file storage.
Due to the fact that the space was occupied asbestos abatement was required and detailed phasing plans were developed in coordination with the Postal Service.
