This building is the first speculative distribution center in the Southeast US to achieve LEED Gold certification.
High performance design features include clerestory windows for daylighting, white TPO roofing to minimize heat gain, and motion-sensored lighting systems to conserve energy.
Additionally, concrete was used in place of asphalt, to reduce heat island effect.
The first building in a proposed four building park, the facility will save 600,000 gallons of water per year, eliminating the need for a sprinkler system.
