The new Childcare Center for the Memorial Campus of the Greenville Hospital System expresses the fascination children hold for nature and the outdoors. Interior design themes celebrate nature. Abundant daylight and views to the outdoors engage children with the wonders of the natural world.
This concept is linked with the environmentally conscious overall design for the project. With the goal of long term efficiencies for the hospital, the design features high energy performance building design, water efficient landscape plantings and indoor fixtures, Energy Star appliances, and sustainable site design and construction practices.
Exterior materials for the Childcare Center are consistent with surrounding hospital buildings. The expressive forms of the building create a new feature for the east entrance to the campus.
