Mount Paran Christian
School Master Plan

Marietta, Georgia • 155,000 sf

Founded in 1976 as a preschool and kindergarten program on Mount Paran Church of God’s campus, Mount Paran Christian School has grown to provide pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade for about 1,000 students. To accommodate the growth, Mount Paran Christian School commissioned Randall-Paulson Architects to design new facilities in 2000. RPA’s first task was to assist the school with site selection and analysis.

A 70 acre site was chosen at the corner of Barrett Parkway and Stilesboro Road. With woodlands, open-space, and a seven acre lake, the site was ideally suited for the school’s plans. RPA developed a masterplan for the site which included designs for:
   • Preschool
   • Lower School
   • Middle School
   • Common Area including:
      Administration, Media Centers,
      Dining, and Athletics
   • High School
   • Future Arena Gym Complex
   • Outdoor Athletics

The masterplan evolved in 2002 to include:
   • Fine Arts Center
   • Worship Center
   • Continuing Education Facility

The school is now in the beginning stages of further updating the masterplan to reflect unprecedented growth with the addition of a Chapel, a High School Addition, and new Middle School expanded parking.
