Jameson Hotel
Renovation
Peoria, Illinois • 5,795 sf
A exciting new exterior and interior look, designed by Randall-Paulson Architects, is planned to bring this hotel up-to-date with a fresh, contemporary style.
The exterior will be modernized through a new polycarbonate canopy roof, to bring in natural light. The formerly simple roof is also updated through the addition of raised sections for added interest. Along the exterior walls, designers have established rhythm through regular repetition of perforated metal accent fins. The addition of a glass pavilion with an indoor swimming pool replaces the former exterior pool for year-round enjoyment.
The public areas of the interior take on some of the exterior characteristics with a fall palette in a variety of colors and materials such as rust and greens, staggered brick tile, and brushed nickel accents. A new double height fireplace in clad copper lends visual warmth and interest and complements the two story atrium. Other upscale touches include dark tonal millwork with frosted glass cabinets and flatscreen televisions mounted on wood columns.
Newly redesigned spaces include lobby, reception, kitchen and breakfast area, offices, conference rooms, fitness room, and a retail store.
