Atlanta Bread
Company Corporate
Headquarters

Smyrna, Georgia • 37,000 sf

In keeping with the company’s culture and image, the design features warm earth tones as well as a crisp modern appeal. The main lobby features wood flooring with carpet insets paired with soffits to create distinctive areas. The elliptical soffit above the waiting area reveals exposed structure with hanging pendant lights. A three-dimensional wall covering was installed.

The new headquarters also serves as a customer marketing and service center. The public areas on the main floor are designed to appeal to the potential franchisee, and include a resource library and 26-person board room. Customer service is supported by a training center. Other areas include additional conference rooms and a computer training center.

With selective demolition, the design utilized existing walls, yet maximized daylighting. The lobby and main conference room ceiling heights were altered from 8'-6" to 10'-0". Curved walls in the breakroom and large diagonal walls create visual interest.

Randall-Paulson Architects provided comprehensive interior design services for this corporate office. RPA also serves as an approved retail store designer for Atlanta Bread Company franchisees.
