The RPA-designed Suzuki School was recently featured in a product brochure for Forbo, a global leader in flooring, bonding, and movement systems. Designers used a Forbo system to develop a vibrant flooring pattern for the childcare center. Linoleum was selected for its naturally anti-microbial qualities, acoustic values, high durability, and reputation as an environmentally-friendly material.
This visually exciting childcare center was designed to create a learning experience that introduces touch and sound through tactile panes with varying textures and an environment that stimulates all of the senses. The flooring pattern was a good example of an architectural feature that served as a learning tool, as it incorporated a color wheel to teach art concepts to the young learners.
