In hopes to “lead the way to a safer future,” Cobb County is in the process of designing a Safety Village for public safety educational purposes. Their mission is to create an area where they can provide the public with the highest quality of safety education and training available. The project will include a reduced-scale village with buildings, sidewalks, traffic signs and even miniature restaurants that represent the community.
Randall-Paulson Architects has the exciting opportunity to volunteer their time on this innovative idea. Principal Alex Paulson, Associate Leslie Carruth, and Project Architect Steven Gaynair are working together with the developers of the Safety Village to refine the layout for the town. In addition to assisting with the site plan, RPA is also helping to develop the architectural guidelines that will be used to coordinate individual building designs throughout the village.
