Suzuki Village
Suzuki Village
Dunwoody, Georgia
This innovative center hosts enrichment classes for children with on-site facilities for parents such as a coffee bar and nail spa. An urban loft aesthetic was carried throughout the space with upscale finishes. Liquid floor tiles that change color when stepped upon add a fun touch in the activity rooms. Other creative materials include Aruba-blue sparkled bamboo flooring, alphanumeric patterned carpet, lighting in the corridor that changes hue as one walks down the hall and bamboo rings captured in space that creates a partition to the "mommy and me" room.
Atlanta Publix Distribution Center Expansion
Publix SuperMarkets Inc.
Lawrenceville, Georgia • +/- 255,000 sf of New Construction
This distribution center faced an interesting challenge relevant to multi-building industrial parks. Initially, the pedestrian walkway, leading to the cafeteria and employee gathering areas, was located on the front of the building. When the owner decided to expand the building, the walkway was eliminated, which led to the problem of how to safely get pedestrian traffic through the area. The solution was to design an elevated walkway which gave them an alternative to walking through the truck courts. This functional element created a safe new path to the cafeteria.
