RPA IN THE COMMUNITY

True Blue Do

In May, Heather Anderson volunteered at the Center for the Visually Impaired’s annual fundraising event, the True Blue Do, held at Opera in Midtown. Guests of the event enjoyed the music of the Macular Degenerates, Atlanta’s only band of ophthalmologists, and a silent wine auction. In addition to the fabulous door prizes awarded throughout the evening, one lucky guest won a Florida vacation in the “Flip for A Trip” coin toss. True Blue Do raised more than $140,000 to help CVI empower people impacted by vision loss to live with independence and dignity. To check them out at click here.

Randall-Paulson Architects sponsored the 8th Annual 2010 Spring Classic for Kids baseball event. This was Michael Randall’s 7th year leading a fund raising team for the UGA – GT Challenge. The yearly event consists of the baseball game between the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Georgia Bulldogs at Turner Field. All the proceeds go to help the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. This year more than 12,000 tickets were sold and more than $122,000 was raised by the challenge. The Yellow Jackets rallied in the 8th inning with six runs to take the lead over the Bulldogs. This led to a 6-4 victory for the Yellow Jackets.
