Take A Slice
out of hunger
RPA recently participated in Canstruction, an event held by the AIA, SDA, and Atlanta Community Food Bank. You can learn more about the mission of Canstruction at
www.canstruction.org. Our sculpture of the Georgia Capital Building won the award for “Most Cans.” All of the food products used were donated to the local food bank in the fight against hunger.
Vision
We see our Canstruction as Georgia and the Atlanta Food Bank coming together. The representative structure of the Georgia Capital Building dome is a main component. Behind the dome, the skyline glitters in silver Coca-Cola cans, an iconic Atlanta brand. A slice of the Georgia Capital Building is removed to reveal an inside made of peach cans, even featuring a peach pit. Peaches were used because of their symbolic importance in the state of Georgia.
