Village at
Rogers Bridge Duluth, Georgia • 29,067 sf
Village at Rogers Bridge contains three single-story buildings comprised of retail businesses and restaurants. A unified village scheme shows across all of the buildings, though the façade of each reflects a unique look.
The steel-framed structural system has CMU on three sides and the built-up roof is detailed with varying canopies. Exposed wood columns complement the canopies and the support brackets. To add visual interest, portions of the storefront glass are colored with dark shades of bronze and green, while others are left clear. High ceilings and windows allow natural light into the space.
Stylish appeal was successfully achieved despite a tight budget and challenging site. Architects planned around the severe slope and rock outcroppings to create a series of shops with a tasteful village aesthetic for the city of Duluth.
