Randall-Paulson Architects worked in collaboration with the UK design firm of Checkland Kindleysides for the renovation of several luxury car dealerships located throughout the United States.
The goal was to create an environment designed to offer a unique automotive retailing experience to customers in keeping with the high aspirations and tastes of the Rolls-Royce and Bentley owner. Specific materials were selected to designate the foundation elements for each dealership in order to achieve consistency among dealerships.
Each dealership was individually tailored to fit this environment. Foundation elements applied to the building itself included floors, walls, ceiling, lighting, and the building exterior. Materials and finishes for the fixtures and furnishings were detailed to be similar in nature to what is used in the interior of the automobiles. Lighting, graphics, and signage were carefully placed to accentuate the innovative design and the importance of the customer experience within the space.
