As a young and vibrant congregation, this Evangelical church outgrew rental space at three locations. While initially an eight-member congregation who met in a Montessori school building, the church now included several hundred parishioners. Members decided to buy land and build their own space, and chose Randall-Paulson Architects for both the building design and masterplan.
Designers blended traditional forms with a modern worship space, which features balcony seating on two sides, a multifunctional stage and baptistery area, state-of-the-art electronic music equipment, and theatrical lighting/video production for both services and performing arts productions. Over 480 seats on the main floor and in fixed pews on the balconies provide plenty of seating room for the current members.
Since the church continues to grow, designers responded by allotting space in the masterplan for future additions.
