Winterfield Village Chesterfield County, Virginia •
37 acres
Randall-Paulson Architects is currently designing Winterfield Village, a 37-acre mixed-use community located in Chesterfield County, Virginia, approximately thirty minutes outside of Richmond.
Winterfield Village provides a high quality urban development in a suburban location. Surrounding a 3-acre lake and featuring tree-lined boulevards, fountains, lush open spaces and a defined main street and square, the village is inspired by the regional character of Richmond. The development mirrors a traditional village through its site planning, building materials, building proportions, landscaping, hardscaping, pedestrian amenities, and signage. An intimate character evolves through rich detailing and human pedestrian scale.
Architectural details include proportionately ornate facades and entries, vertical tower elements, porticoes, balconies, and cupolas. The landscape includes shaded areas with awnings, trellises, and porches.
Phase I will feature 22,000 sf of retail, including open-air restaurants placed to overlook the lake. Phase II adds 265,000 sf of retail, including an 110,000 sf national anchor, and 16,000 sf of office. The traditionally styled buildings vary in expression and scale.
