Randall-Paulson Architects worked with ARCO Design/Build Construction Company to complete this rotogravure printing facility for Alcan Corporation’s Lawson Mardon Division.

The project comprised of private and open office areas, meeting rooms, carton folding, a rotogravure printing area, warehouse, and shipping and receiving areas. The exterior design of the facility incorporates the use of aggregate precast concrete wall panels on a steel frame and a spider glass wall system, giving the building a clean and refined appearance.

Working with the preliminary facility design of RBE Company of Kansas, RPA proposed and implemented a new design for the office areas and assisted in the development of spaces such as the two-story lobby. The focal point of the lobby is the custom semicircular staircase made of stainless steel treads and glass that leads to a glass enclosed conference room.
