Mount Paran Christian
School Expansion

Marietta, Georgia • 69 acres

Mount Paran Christian School exceeded its 1,000 student capacity on its new campus, which opened in 2003, in three short years. The school administration revisited its goals in terms of appropriate capacity within its four school divisions.

The Preschool and Lower School were not affected; however capacity increases were deemed desirable in both the Middle School and High School. Randall-Paulson was asked to update the original master plan to accommodate over 1,300 students and to complete the development of the athletic fields program.

The updated plan calls for:
   • Doubling capacity of the High
      School to 400 students including
      new classrooms and labs, 1,500-
      seat gymnasium, 400-seat lecture
      hall, dining area, chorus, and
      dance program space.
   • Expansion of the Middle School to
      300 students with new classrooms
      for Bible, Art, Music, and
      Foreign Language.
   • Development of a Theater/Chapel       with 500 seats for use in school       assemblies and performing arts.
   • Football stadium seating 1,500 to
      accommodate the school’s new
football program to be located at
      current track and field.
   • Separate properly sized High
      School Soccer Field with
      spectator seating.
   • Additional practice fields for
      football, soccer, and baseball.
   • Expanded parking and new entry
      to Stilesboro Road.

The next phase will provide for the additional High School and Middle School education capacity, expanded athletic fields, and parking.
