Distribution Centers

Various Locations • 1,059,000 sf

Unilever is one of the world's largest consumer products companies, with a wide range of foods, home, and personal care products.

Randall-Paulson Architects has a long project history with ProLogis Trust on Unilever facilities. The first project was an expansion of an existing building in Atlanta, Georgia. The team was then kept together for four subsequent new facilities. The Carlisle, Pennsylvania Unilever Distribution Center is the first of the new flow-thru office/distribution facilities to be built for Unilever throughout the United States.

The prototype facility is an office/ distribution center that consists of warehouse space and 18,000 sf of offices within the building shell. Building construction consists of loadbearing, insulated, precast or tilt-up concrete walls, and interior steel framing.

The warehouse contains three hazardous storage areas, each approximately 30,000 sf in size. The remainder of the warehouse is separated into three areas by Maximum Fire Loss (4 hour rated) walls.

Each facility accommodates 350 employees and operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
