This client asked for a speculative warehouse that could house multiple tenants. The design was planned to match ING’s corporate image for a warehouse and to coordinate with the materials and colors of the warehouse across the street, also built by Trammel Crow/ING.

The building exterior is constructed of concrete tilt panels with a 14’-0” tall clear anodized aluminum curtain wall system at each of the entries. The entry glazing is framed between two darker gray “towers”, one on each side of the corner. Above the curtain wall there is a visually striking as well as functional 7’-2” deep aluminum shade canopy that wraps 2’-0” past each of the “towers”.

Site grading presented a unique challenge. Due to grading decisions three out of the four entrances have stairs and ramps. Additionally all of the egress doors at each end have site specific stairs, according to the grade at each exit point.
